Devlog#5: Autobio Midterm Pt 2


This week for my Intermediate Gamedev hw...We didn't have anything to watch! But we did have some questions to answer.

  • what did you do last week?
    •  Last week I mistakenly assumed the midterm project was due today and created an entire battle system in like, two days. Luckily because of that, I don't have to do too much more programming for the project which is nice.
  • what are you going to do next? 
    • This week I wanted to begin 3D modeling and finalizing the actual autobiographical aspects of the game, but I've been a tad sick this week and didn't get to accomplish much. I'm not proud of it, but there's nothing that can really be down right now. 
      I did sketch out the "personas" and the things you combat in photoshop so I could have an idea of what to model.
      ( They're below all of the questions and I wanted to add cool aura particle effects to each of em!) 
  • what do you need help with? are you going to code help desk or 3D art help desk? 
    • Right now I'm unsure what I'd need help with. I'm not having any technical troubles at the moment. There are bugs and other unpleasant things in the prototype that I'm aware of, I just need time to fix them.
  • how do you feel about your progress so far?
    • If my plan wasn't foiled by me being sick I would've said great, but right now I'm kinda worried about it. There's two more weeks till it's due so I do have time to make all the assets and things like that, but I'm just pretty upset about the lack of progress made this week. I did brainstorm what autobiographical aspects I would have multiple times throughout the week, but I didn't have time to implement them. I hope to do better next week.
